Hi, I'm Vardan.
I'm into two things: how networks carry the world's traffic, and how people try to break them.
I study computer science at VIT Vellore and grew up in New Delhi. I learn both sides the same way, by building the pieces myself.
- Studying
- Computer science, VIT Vellore. Graduating 2028.
- Competing
- Selected for the IIT Bombay cybersecurity CTF. Security and software hackathons.
- From
- New Delhi, where it is --:-- right now.
- Writing in
- C++ and Python. C, Java and Git from coursework.
Networking
How traffic finds its way, and what it trusts along the route.
Security
What happens when someone on the network does not play fair.
Hijack a route.
Networks trust each other's directions. Announce a more specific route and traffic follows you instead. Try it.
10.10.30.20 matches 10.10.30.0/24 from AS65020. Traffic reaches the services.

An educational model of my NetLab experiment. Nothing here touches a real network.
Your turn.
You know a little about me now. Fair is fair: this is what your browser told this page about you, before you clicked anything.
Read in your browser, kept there, sent nowhere. Most sites can read this much, and more. Noticing that is the job.
Explored, and next.
Send me a packet.
Internships, collaborations, or something strange you caught on the wire.
